apartment therapy

i'e been thinking a lot about the apartment, making it feel more cozy. to that end, i've been "shopping" the internet for things i like/need. i really adore this clock from anthropologie, although the look is way too shappy chic for me. i wonder if i could make a more modern version somehow?

actually, on first look i though the ink blob was moving behind white numbers and therefore showing them. now i think the little hands just move and only the 5 shows, which kinda sucks. also, 400 dollars? are they nuts? wow.
